| General Characteristics |
|
|
| Atlas & Time Zone Corrections |
|
All editions comes with a Full World Atlas and Time Zone corrections module covering over 200 000 places world wide.
The Atlas is editable allowing for addition of own places with cordinates for Latitude and Longitude. The Time zone data can not be edited but
added placed can make use of it.
|
| 5000 Year Ephemeris |
|
Accurately calculated positions for the period from BC 2500 to AD 2500
using directly calculated algorithms which obviates the need for very large,
pre-calculated disc ephemerides and allows calculations of Declinations and Latitudes.
|
| Chart Wheel |
|
All planets and points calculated by the program can be displayed in the chart
and you have the option of showing a planet/point but without any aspects to it.
Similar options exist for all lists whether on screen or printed. A unique feature
is the way that the planets take on the colours of the signs - this gives immense
clarity and readability to the chart - no problems determining the sign of a planet
on a sign cusp.
|
| Chart Design |
|
Many of the items shown in the chart wheel can be specified using the Chart Design and
other screens. This includes colours, symbols, the type and thickness of various lines,
the use of aspect indicators (these appear half-way along the aspect lines), the size of
symbols, etc. There are 2 main palettes available for use at the click of a button, one
using a black background (mainly for on-screen work where yellow is required) and one with
a white background for use with colour printers or when saving screens. Aspects and orbs
can all be defined, either by planet and routine (natal, progressions, etc.) as well as
the usual Astrocalc percentage method.
|
| Printing |
|
All printing is done via standard Windows printer drivers and gives you the very
highest resolution your printer is capable of. If you have a colour printer then output
can be in colour. All printouts can also be scaled, and if you have a wide carriage printer
capable of A3 or larger sizes then you can produce excellent large charts suitable for
class display. Undoubtedly the very best printed astrological wheels.
|
| Data Entry |
|
Although this is a typical Windows screen with all fields preset ready to accept
information using a combination of keyboard and mouse as appropriate, the automatic
tabbing system makes this a Rolls-Royce of a data entry system. In addition up to 12
charts can always be immediately available and their details are stored on exit from
the program allowing you to restart where you left off.
|
| Help |
|
Besides the usual Windows Help file in the form of a manual, we show a direct Help box at the bottom of
the screen. This is context sensitive, so that clicking on any field in any data entry
screen will immediately show the information without the need to search for it. |
| Three inbuilt methods of Interpretation |
The 3 in-built interpretation features (further explained on the Beginners page), give you a
version of our Remark Sorter program,
the Link Phrases method (and text) and the Block Text facilities
for Natal-, Transits Text etc. with
blank headed files (planets in signs, houses and aspects) - you can fill them in yourself.
In addition there is the Structure Analysis method from France and Ascara from Germany.
If you want the editable Natal Text files, which contain about 40,000 words covering
planets in signs, houses and aspects, these can be bought separately (already include in
the Professional). These can be used wherever a chart is calculated. You can also add the
Forecaster Text files for the Transits etc..
All techniques which produce a chart wheel can use all methods of interpretation
either as an on screen display or printout, directly from the chart wheel.
You can also do Transits Forecasts using either own text or our special
Forecast text files, and the same with Direct Synastry (Synastry Edition).
All text are fully editable in a separate text entry form, both in its base form
stored on disk and the produced interpretation as such. This also allows
selection of all the planet/points available to you in the program for
whatever technique that you want to use.
Text can also be readily copied to form the basis for different interpretation
techniques - thus you can copy the natal text to be used as the basis for
interpretation of progressions, harmonics, etc.

Rulerships/Exaltations screen similarly lists Rulerships, Exaltations, etc.
-
The Arabic Parts option lists the Arabic Parts and gives you the opportunity to
create your own (for use by the program). For those with the Standard or larger
edition there are the following additional options.
|
There are many other amendments and improvements in versions 6.0, such as a new and improved date entry form, larger screen wheels, more room for viewing the text editing, database backend etc. You can choose to have the Day or Night Part of Fortune or just the Day Part of Fortune. You can, if you wish, have Reversed Houses (going anti-clockwise) as per the Babylonians. You can determine the rounding of planet degrees, minutes and seconds - either up or down - within the chart wheel. Thus where you have a value of 29 deg 32 mins, it can either be shown as 29 deg or 30 deg. And so on.
