Astrocalc Website and Forum was attacked.
Today Astrocalc website and forum was attacked by some Chinese dude, or more probably a bot, registering and posting lots of topics in the forum. This have triggered a lot of emails sent out to other users subscribing to the forum category and maybe more (which shouldn't have been the case) but we are investigating this. To prevent a continuation (they did it twice after we deleted the first user) of these attacks the registration has been closed until further notice while we investigate.
We do run spam bot protection software, which has been very successful to date and this is actually the first issue there has been since switching to use the WordPress web framework. We like to apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused and will post more information here once we have it.
